From a drifting athlete to a guiding mentor
The life of former Indonesian national badminton player Ruben Gordown Khosadalina. Born into poverty, he fought his way into the national team, however, despite placing third the lack of sponsorships and tournament opportunities were out of his reac due to those only being saved for the the top two players, ruining his chance at stardom. With no further opportunities he left Indonesia, hopping from country to country, finding more success. Eventually, he settled in Canada to train a new generation and finding balance between his passion and livelihood.

Ruben's Short StoryBorn in poverty, denied the opportunity to reach stardom in his country, moving from place to place. None of these things ever stopped Ruben from trying to pursue his passion. His spirit of resilience made all the adversities and sadness a thing of the past now that he can have stability as a coach to train the younger generations of badminton players.
