I grew up knowing my dad was famous , surrounded by music, live performances, and world tours. When my father told us we had to leave our home country, I witnessed a profound change in our lives. More importantly, I saw my father sacrifice his dreams for the safety of his family. His unwavering love and strength have always inspired me. When the opportunity arose to create a documentary, I knew I had to make a film that finally gave him the space to share his story, a story that’s remained untold for more than ten years since he left his homeland. I’m here because I want to honour my father’s legacy and ensure his journey is remembered.

I chose to work on this project because Fernanda’s family reminds me of my own. Being connected through music is something I cherish, as I grew up learning how to sing and play the piano and I would venture out to Meridian Hall with my family and watch movies in concert with live orchestras. I hope others can connect through the love of music as well, as it is truly special to our lives.

Favourite Instrument:
Organ / Grande Piano
