Worried with the unsureness of direction their careers may be headed our crew sets off to Toronto to seek guidance from seasoned director and documentarian Malcolm Ingram. Malcolm leads us through the history of his career and offers advice and stories about the film world shining a light on how our futures may look and how he feels our generation will carry on the torch of the art he worked so diligently on over his multiple decade career.

The Team
Hello there! My name is Callum Armstrong the Director of Lights, Camera, Ingram. As a personal friend of Malcolm I knew there was only one person I would ever want to tell the story of, and that of course was him. Malcolms contributions to the film scene in both Toronto and the greater LGBTQ community are far beyond worth the coverage and I can't see anybody as more of a direct mirror into what our future as filmmakers may look like but him. I'm very happy to have been given this opportunity and I hope you all enjoy getting to know his story too!

Hi, my name is Jacob Smith and I’m the co-writer on Lights, Camera, Ingram! I wanted to work on this project because I think Malcolm Ingram is such an interesting person with so many important stories to share. I think there’s also a great message about doing what you love and working hard at it even if results don’t show immediately. Malcolm’s dedication and contributions to the LGBTQ and documentary film scene is worth the spotlight and I can’t wait for everyone to meet him!

Hi, I'm Saga Smith, I am part of the sound crew for Lights, Camera, Ingram. When I first joined the crew I had no idea what I was getting into but I quickly came to admire Malcolm Ingram and the enthusiasm he shares for film and storytelling, and his passion for telling LGBTQ+ stories. I am excited to be part of the next generation of queer filmmakers inspired by Malcom's work, and I hope many others feel the same after watching our documentary.

Hi my names Ophelia, I sought out working on this production because I consider Callum a good friend and jumped at the opportunity to work on a film he is directing. The subject matter also interested me greatly, especially with the framing and perspective brought in through Callum's relationship with Malcom.

Ingram seemed very cool, having tons of industry experience. The thought of getting advice from a person like that was enough to join the crew and Callums passion for the project made it even easier.
