The Guelph Outdoor School was founded in the fall of 2012 as an alternative to the typical format of children’s education based in public and private schools. The engaging natural environment is presented without the confines of a traditional indoor classroom. This is one of the many reasons why its attendees praise it so highly and a factor behind the attendance growing exponentially in recent years.
This documentary provides a look inside The Guelph Outdoor School and reveals why families in Guelph and surrounding regions have developed a deep connection to the organization and how it has served as an asset in helping their children develop lifelong skills. |

I am Cara Gibbon. I am the composer for the documentary, creating my visions and sounds from what the story tells me. A big reason why I enjoy working for this documentary is the fact that it’s representing an educational experience I wish was more common and part of a normal curriculum. A school that I wish I went to growing up, but also because of my musical life and passion, it makes me feel at peace with my music thinking that I did grow up in it when I write music for this documentary.

I'm David De Furia, the VFX artist for "The Invisible School." I was drawn to this project when I found out about it because the school seems like a very interesting change from the traditional school structure. As well as it being a change for students, I also believe that being in and connecting with nature is something that everyone should do more of in their life. Because of this, I wanted to be involved in some way, to try and bring light to this seemingly unknown program that could help so many children further their education and personal development in a very lucrative way.
