Only God Knows is a film cataloging the story of Evarista Marilu Reyes, a 69-year-old immigrant who escaped war-torn El Salvador in the 1980s. She lived the first quarter of her life in El Salvador. But with the building pressure of the El Salvadoran Civil War kicking off, she was forced to choose: stay in the home she had always known or find somewhere safe for her family.
