Celluloid Memories is an intimate portrait of Sandy McLennan, an experimental Canadian filmmaker who seeks to preserve arcane film formats from his childhood. These formats were the canvas for his, and many others’ memories. Letting these formats die would be like letting part of a memory die.

Dylan MacNeilHi, my name is Dylan MacNeil, and I am the Director of "Celluloid Memories". I met Sandy about a year ago at a camera convention where he sold me my first 16mm film projector. Films are like memories, and if he we let the format those memories were captured on die, that's like letting a part of the memory die.

Rowan LindsayHi I’m Rowan Lindsay, the producer of Celluloid Memories and since meeting Dylan I have been interested in the medium of experimental film so when when this project got green lit I instantly jumped at the chance to help bring Dylan’s vision to life and tell the story of Sandy McLennan.

Jonathon OnwudiweHi, I'm Jordan Onwudiwe and I'm the Director of Photography for Celluloid Memories. Film is constantly evolving both in it's creativity and technology, so I think it's fascinating and important to remember the way it used to be. I think Sandy McLennan has a great story that I'm excited for people to hear!

Johnathon Castro-MillerI’m Jonathan Castro Miller and I’m the supervising sound editor for this project. I’ve always had an interest in experimental filmmaking and it was recently sparked once again by Dylan and this project. Ever since he started working on the idea for this film I have been really excited to be a part of it and get a chance to play around with sound in a way that represents Sandy’s fascinating work.

Brendan SmythHello, I'm Brendan Smyth and I am working on the transmedia of this production. I am honoured to be a part of such an incredible piece of art. I can't wait for people to see this film the crew has created. Sandy McLennan is a superbly talented filmmaker and I believe this doc highlights that perfectly.
