A story of a young trans man’s joy, as the façade of a progressive and queer positive society falls apart.
Pinocchio is the story of a young transman, Silas, who shares his life story in hopes to add a new perspective to the trans experience. One that center's his pride and joy in his identity rather than the hardships he's faced. Its a personal tale about love, joy and growth, meant to bring hope to a community in dire need of support and positivity.

My name is Silas (S) Howse (he/they). I am the Co-Producer, Director, Writer & Star of Pinocchio/JOY (my ego goes through the roof every time I write that down). There are many things that bring me joy, but you’re gonna have to watch Pinocchio to find out what they are ;) The one teaser I’ll give is that making Pinocchio, and getting to tell my story has brought me lot of joy. I can not wait to share it with the world.

My name is Isabelle Li (she/her). I am Pinocchio/JOY’s Director of Photography (read: cam op in need of apple box 24/7). Sunsets and stars are two of the great loves of my life. I spend many of those stretched-out, taffy-long summer evenings just watching the colours change in the sky, and do so for hours at a time; even now, you might catch me gazing heavenward.

My name is Penn Chen (he/him). I am the 1st Assistant Camera for Pinocchio/JOY. Terrible indie music is something that brings me joy. It sucks but I love it.
