Rafat Alsayyed is the Producer and Director of the documentary "Running Towards a Dream." I am sure that making movies is a vital medium to run a society. I also believe that making films allows us to control our reality and maybe fix it. Imagine being forced to do something you don't want to do. How are you going to feel about it? Well, I might have a better answer. I pitched the idea of a film because it is a story about someone who was forced to leave his home, family, friends, school, pets, favourite places, and memories. So, when you hear the word "refugee," remember these people were forced to do that, and we need to support them.

My name is Nick Kablarevic and I am the Co-producer/Production Sound Mixer on Running Towards a Dream. As the son of an immigrant I have always been interested in the story of those who made the decision to completely unroot their lives for the chance of something better. When I first heard James’ story I knew it was a story worth telling. A story like James’ brings forward a perspective not often portrayed on film, and I felt that this documentary would be an amazing opportunity to bring these perspectives and stories to the forefront.

Hi, my name is Evan. I am the behind-the-scenes photographer for Running Towards a Dream. I was approached by Rafi one day when he asked if I wanted to do BTS for his upcoming documentary. I was intrigued by the proposition and went to check out his pitch. I became extremely interested in the story he wanted to tell about James, and I thought it was a great story to be told. So, I accepted his offer and wanted to become a part of his team to tell this amazing story. I had a great time on set in which I was able to catch some great moments of our crew and the subject of the film James. Running Towards a Dream is truly an inspirational story of never giving up on your dreams and one that I cannot wait for people to watch for themselves.

Hey, I'm Kevin Kawczynski and I am the editor for “Running Towards A Dream”. Ever since I was young I've always loved watching films at home or on the big screen and my excitement for movies motivated me to try and create my own. Since then my passion drove me to learn more and more about what goes into making a film. Ultimately I fell in love with the post production side of things and my addiction to editing and visual effects exploded. Due to my passion I was really excited to be an editor for a core 1 documentary that would engage and challenge me, that's when I heard about Rafi’s vision for this documentary. Reading about Jmaes’s story caught my attention right away and I knew I had to be a part of it.

My name is Noah Embrack and I am the transmedia producer for Running Towards A Dream. After being offered to work on this production, I read the pitch document and was very much excited after that to work on it. A story like this isn't one you always get to be a part of. So I had to jump on, and I can’t wait for everyone to watch the finished edit.
