23 year old David Empringham fell into the world of professional racing by a stroke of luck 35 year career in the industry.

At the age of 23 David Empringham fell into the world of professional racing after attending a 3 day race school and with no experience he climbed up the ranks becoming a successful driver. In 1996 he joined indy lights where he won the championship his first year. He eventually hit a plateau in his career when he tried to move up because he was competing with drivers that were much younger than him. Empringham then transitioned to sportscar racing and as of 2014 he has been coaching in motorsport.

Hi my name is Brendan Lam and I am the location sound recordist of "Racebound". It was really interesting meeting and interviewing David. Listening to David explaining how he accidentally became a racer was really interesting and fun. Racing is a sport that you need to learn from a young age and it is truly amazing how David was able to achieve what he did starting much later than other racers.

Hey, my name is Connor Hotchkies, and I was one of the writers on this Doc. I pretty much sat in a call and helped write out and construct questions for Jake to ask David... and that's about it. While my time was short on "Racebound", I hope you will all see the tremendous effort we put into this documentary.

My name is Gaetano Segreto! i'm the D.O.P for Racebound. I've been into cars and racing as far back as I can remember. With a dad who's closely followed F1 and has worked for some teams in indycar, it's naturally something I began to love. It was sort of a no brainer to join this project as, despite my fondness for racing, i've never gotten the opportunity to meet someone who's been behind the wheel of the beautiful machines that I dreamed about as a child. My time working on Racebound has been wonderful and I couldn't be happier with how the final result turned out. I loved the whole experience and am glad to have been able to work with such a pleasant team.

Hi, my name is Ben Lord and I am the picture editor of "Racebound". Having only ever experienced Dave through the interview footage, that I had the privilege of studying and watching endlessly, I can say he is an inspiration to me and should be to others, no matter their field. I fell in love with the art of cinema when I first watched Pixar's 2006 film, "Cars," so I guess this match was always meant to be!
