Maintaining a golf course goes way beyond cutting grass. There is a team that needs to be managed, taking care of the health of the turf, and hardest of all dealing with external weather.
The most important job in golf follows Ryan Scott, the golf course superintendent at Oakville Golf Club and his team as they go through their day maintaining a golf course. Oakville Golf Club is a 9 hole private club that was established in 1921. Celebrating 100 years in 2021 the club has remained private throughout its entire history. |

Kellsie McCullough - Editor
Hi, my name is Kellsie and I'm the picture editor for the most important job in golf. I really enjoyed being a part of this crew and this experience. My uncle is in love with golf and this doc has given me lots of new knowledge on it. I hope the next time I see my uncle I can pull out some cool golf knowledge on him.

Kyle Young - Producer/Director/DoP
Hi, my name is Kyle! I am the creator of The Most Important Job In Golf. This project was inspired by my love of golf and film. Golf has been a big part of my life for many years and I saw this documentary as a perfect opportunity to put together two things I love. I wanted to show how important the job of a golf course superintendent, and how without them we wouldn't have the game we all love.

Layla Stork - Co-DoP
Hi I’m Layla Stork! I am the co-DOP for “the most important job in golf”. I myself never played golf, but I’ve always wanted to try it out. I joined this documentary project because I know a lot of my friends play golf and I’d like to know what goes into making golf happen.
