Beating the Odds

A previously incarcerated single mother strives to beat the odds against the legal system and mental health issues as she awaits trial.

​This Documentary will follow a young woman named Kendra Davis who was released from custody after giving birth to her son in jail in 2019.
Beating the Odds will address mental health issues that many young, incarcerated females face before
and after incarceration and how to cope and progress after traumatic events have occurred.

There will also be a specific focus on Kendra's own goals on how she plans to progress in life, move on
​from this incident, and regain her freedom.
