SYNOPSIS

To The Light is a short documentary about a Ukrainian girl who started her quest to find happiness. She went through the Ukrainian Revolution, then moved to Canada by herself and through all of life challenges found what it means to be happy.
"This project is especially important for me because it is my story. It is difficult to expose my life story to others. But I feel like by telling mine, I could help others. Even if that story bring them power to start something, or just make them smile - that makes me incredibly happy. So this film was worth it." - Anna Vagabova |

Hi I'm Anna, I am a 3rd year Sheridan College student, pursuing Honours’ Bachelor of Film and Television, focusing on directing, cinematography and casting directing with prior background in theatre, singing, dancing and acting.
Happiness for me… You could find out about that in the documentary. I just know happiness can be found even in the darkest moments of life. Sometimes happiness is in small things, like seeing your loved ones smile, or being able to give them a hug. |
My name is Carly Krieg and I am a third year Film and Television student at Sheridan College. I am the Producer and Story Editor for To The Light. For me, happiness is an ever changing state of being.
I believe that no matter what is happening, it can be spotted in the most mundane parts of our life, but first we must find it in ourselves. |
