More Than Just Water explores the themes of transformation and adaptation to the modern world, and how many careers and trades are being phased out due to technology across the world. This is not just a local issue, not a provincial issue, this is a national issue that is happening to many communities across Canada and the United States. MTJW will be addressing how, as individuals, we attach ourselves to certain aspects of our life and present those aspects as our whole-selves, when something happens to impact those things, It changes an integral part of ourselves. Our identity. This is highly important to me because I have watched my father, and heard stories of my papa and his father, and my family has put their hearts into fishing. My family has done this for generations and so many other families and communities are in very similar situations and I feel as though that the story of middle-class people, working in these physically hard industries don't have much of a voice, no one knows of the people catching their fish, harvesting their vegetables, or raising the beef they'll eat. People simply, can't put a face to the job and that has to change.
