A Mother's challenge to adapt to her son's chronic blood disorder becomes a battle of determination to accept an uncontrollable change.
In the year 2000, Shannan Quinn’s world was turned upside down. Her two year old son Matthew, who was of seemingly perfect health, would be diagnosed with Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP), an immune blood disorder that would drastically change their families future. Since Matthew was diagnosed, Shannan has devoted her life to bettering Matthew’s life and has tried to learn as much as she can about his disorder. In this documentary, Shannan will reflect and open up about how demanding it was to raise a child with this type of illness, and how she was able to accept the uncontrollable.
