541 - Place For Community
Leah, program chef at community Kitchen 541 must cook to help support a community in need of food and a place to call home.
541 - A Place for Community is a short 6 minute student documentary following program Chef Leah Janzen as she dedicates herself to 541 - Eatery and Exchange, a community kitchen in the downtown area of Hamilton, Ontario. Our story dives deep into restaurant culture here at 541, where we meet people from all walks of life. Some people call this place their hangout spot, others call it home. Our team has been greatly effected by making this documentary and we wish to continue to help share 541's story with everyone so in some way as filmmakers we have helped create change in the community of Hamilton.
