Life in the Pit: A portrait of Drew Yorke
The story of how 20 year old, self -trained photographer, Drew Yorke’s unique style, persistence and dedication to his work has made him one of Toronto’s top Hip Hop photographers in just over a year.
Life in the Pit: A portrait of Drew Yorke, is a documentary film that follows a 20 year old, self-trained hip hop photographer, Drew Yorke. Drew has established work with the Come Up Show and Sidewalk Hustle while working these shows. This past September having his first paid show, which was ASAP Rocky. Drew captured a photo of Rocky mid jump that Rap Season (main concert provider for hip hop in the GTA) loved and purchased. Drew has established himself within the hip hop community of Toronto and he has received consistent work since then. This success is all leading up to his first photo gallery in October 2016. And this doc will be following Drew in this inspirational journey.

The Crew
Cinam Zee is a 3rd year Sheridan Film Student focusing on Cinematography. As well as a deep passion for Hip-Hop.

Joel Petch is a aspiring editor in his 3rd year of Sheridan's Bachelors of Film and TV. He's worked on several films throughout his time school hoping to expand this upon graduation. Joel's editing style can go from professional/formal when needed to venturing to more wacky/comedic.

Mac Downey originally started his career in stand up comedy, but developed a strong love of film and TV. He strives currently to produce and write films, especially the genre of comedy. His inspirations are Harold Ramis, Judd Apatow and Terry Gilliam

Jakub is in his third year of Sheridan's Bachelor of Film and Television program. He's interested in the whole process of film making and aspires to write and direct. He also has a passion for digital art, animation, and music.

Cory Barter is a full time student at sheridan studying in the Bachelor of film & Television program, his main points of expertise are in directing and editing and he has a strong interest in skateboarding and hip hop.

Spencer was born and raised in Oakville Ontario, and is a full time student currently studying in the Honours Bachelor of Film and Television program at Sheridan College. With a passion for high quality audio recording, he hopes to one day make it big in the film industry providing only the best sound for high quality productions.
